Hello! My name is Lea, Split is my hometown and I'm a licensed tour guide for Split-Dalmatia, Dubrovnik-Neretva and Šibenik-Knin county, both in English and Spanish language. I was born in Split, I have been living here for more than 20 years and I'm passionate about sharing its beauty and culture! I got my Master's degree in Marketing, at Faculty of Economics here in Split. Following my university studies, I moved to Barcelona to do an internship before returning back to Split. I have always enjoyed learning languages, travelling and experiencing different cultures. Soon after graduation I have realised that office job doesn't suit me and I started to work as a tour guide, which was the best decision I have ever made! When I'm not tour guiding, I love to learn languages - I can speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Yoga is also one of my passions, I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) by International Yoga Alliance. Local gastronomy has always interested me, so I decided to do a course for a wine consultant to get to know more about the rich wine history in Croatia. In my free time, I love long walks with my dog and reading books. I absolutely love my job and cannot wait to share with you all the beauties that the city of Split and the region of Dalmatia have to offer! If you were looking for a private guide to experience the region like a true local - you are right where you should be!

Croatia

Dear visitors, my name is Darko, I've been in love with Croatia since the first day of my life and my goal is to pass that love to You. I was born and raised in Split, pearl of the Mediterranean sea and since forever I am fascinated by history, culture and nature. At the beginning of my career I worked in Croatian national theater and in Split city museum as an official tour guide and that experience with knowledge I got from my older colleagues helped me a lot and gave me a big impulse in becoming freelancer. Today my full time job is producer of cultural events but my true passion is tour guiding. As I am scuba diver, hiker and big fan of football, I incorporate all those hobbies and knowledge in my tours.

Slavica

Croatia

Hi, I am Slavica, welcome to my beautiful Dalmatia! I am a licensed tourist guide for the Split-Dalmatia County for the English language. I was born and live in Split, and I grew up in the town of Kaštela, which is located right between two UNESCO cities, Trogir and Split. I come from a traditional family of fishermen and farmers who have lived in Kaštela for almost 400 years. From my grandfather, an olive grower and winegrower, I listened from an early age stories about our turbulent past, cultural heritage, and interesting and brave people who opposed many attacks of various invaders and managed to maintain their way of life and values. After completing my classical education in Split, I spent some wonderful years in London where I attended media studies, then returned home, and until recently worked as a camerawoman and editor for the national news. 2019 came, and I decided to turn my career around. I decided to follow my dreams and try something new, so I earned a degree to be a tour guide, and thus combined my two passions into one: interpreting historical and cultural heritage, and "capturing" those special and happy moments on camera. Apart from history, art, and film, I adore good home-made food, which we have in abundance in this Mediterranean area, and I will be happy to share some secret recipes with you.

I wish we could have spent several days with Kumiko.

Excellent scheduling and communication. Kumiko was at the cruise ship port waiting for us at the gate, on time and even parked close to the gate. She is friendly, charming and fun to be around. Kumiko has a wealth of information about the history of the region and local culture. She wasted no time in getting us to the ski area so we could ride the cable car to the top. We were able to visit a shrine and enjoy the view of the city. The ski area also included an museum of skiing in the area and the equipment used. Then on to a local Saki brewery for a tour and a sample. Our next stop was the railroad museum. A "must see" if you are interested in railroad history, historic steam power, and the challenges of building railroads in the terrain of northern Japan. Next stop was a local seafood restaurant where we sampled many types of fish and shellfish, both cooked and raw including the local delicacy "uni". Kumiko was able to give us a quick tour of the local fish market. She also drove to some other scenic overlook areas. Last stop was the Otaru Museum. We were back to the cruise ship with time to spare. All the time we spent with Kumiko was delightful and I wish we could have been in port longer and spent a few days with her. Thanks Kumiko!

I requested for a half-day tour with Sky Tree sightseeing. Her flexible advice made our tour successful. I really appreciate her hospitality and I would definitely ask her for the next time also.

Hakone and Tokyo music tours

Leandra was a great guide, taking us to see some Funk, Hyperpop, and a fusion of traditional Japanese sounds with electronic elements. The events she chose for us based on our musical preferences exceeded our expectations. For our trip to Hakone Leandra was a great companion and navigated the winding roads of Hakone like a pro. The secret waterfall was a highlight and standing on the top of Mount Kintoki with my son admiring Mount Fuji in the distance will be a life long memory.

Memorable time in Kyoto

We booked 2 separate tours with Tomoe. One half day and a very special one day tour. We were very lucky to have Tomoe as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable of all sites we visited and gave us a lot of interesting and helpful information. She even helped us buy tickets and showed us where and how to take the Shinkansen to Tokyo. She was very patient with us when we were taking time to take photos but kept us on schedule and organized in a timely manner. She is an impeccable tour guide. Tomoe made our tour of Kyoto an unforgettable experience. We had lots of fun and laughter with her. I would highly recommend Tomoe as your tour guide!!

Dear Jenny, Thank you very much for your warmhearted review. Yes! I had super wonderful 2 days with you, such a nice couple! We talked a lot and laughed a lot during 2 days. I was happy to see you were taking many pictures, too. I will wait for your next visiting Kyoto (especially to see the autumn foliage). Thank you very much for booking me as your guide and such a precious meeting! TOMOE
