Greetings from Croatia to all the new and past visitors of this alluring part of Europe... Make your vacation a beautiful memory to think of when life gives you a ton of headaches to worry about. Take advantage of it and seize the priceless cultural and natural Croatian heritage - discover the endless beauties and classic tales that go with it... Frane (Frah-neh) is my name and I've been a licensed guide for the last 15 years: cooperating with many tour companies, and always open to new challenges. As a history professor in Croatia, my passion is history, and it's significate to the effects of modern life. My tours throughout Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegro are all private with me as a driver/guide with private transportation. A family crossover (up to 4 participants) and if you are a small group, I will arrange sizeable and comfortable transportation with a professional driver. I'll be delighted to be your local connection with the outstanding legacy that Croatia has to offer in this time when tourism has to rise from its own ashes. Let's make a change together.

I am a tour guide and freelancer with a major in history from Zadar, Croatia. I am born in Zadar but moved to Korčula and stayed there from age 3-14. Then I moved to Split during high school. By the end of High school, I started learning Web Design in HTML. CSS and Java Script and made my first web page I returned to Zadar when I enrolled at University. I have a major in history. During study, I worked various jobs and learn graphic design which I did as a freelancer and also started learning 3d modeling. My thesis was Migration from Dalmatia in 1860. until 1918. I am interested mostly in social history, modern history, and migrations. I am learning Spanish and German in my free time because interest in exploring Latin America and Croatian communities in that area which was part of the research in my thesis. I worked in high school as a history teacher. I have some experience of working with people from many countries as I am renting rooms as a part of my house. I am also hosting people with Couchsurfing and Warmshowers. Currently, I am the most popular host on both platforms in Zadar. I have a certificate to work as a tour guide in Zadar county and a tour operator in the whole of Croatia from 2020. As a freelancer, I mostly worked with web and graphic design and recently 3d modeling. From September 2021 I have a certificate as Unity Programmer and Level Designer in Game and App Development. Currently I have two games published on Android and two on PC. Also I am travelling outside Croatia almost every year since I was 19 mostly by attending music festivals. I really like music so we can talk about that as well. Currently, I am developing one educational board game for Android. My walking tour is mostly history and art history oriented but I intend to adjust my walking tour depending on the people who booked it so I don't always go the same route. I am trying to make it a very complete experience in my beloved city. Feel free to ask me anything regarding my stay in Croatia as well. You have my contact.

Croatia

Hi, I'm Anita and I'm a tourist guide in Croatia. I have been working for years as a local tourist guide in Zadar and Sibenik, and as a tourist guide in Europe. Love for my country makes me do this job that I adore, and my happiness and greatest reward is when my guests return to my Croatia again. That means they are happy and feel nice here and that is my most beautiful reward. Certainly some of you have not even heard of Croatia. So I decided to invite you to this pearl of Europe and introduce you to this beautiful little country, but rich in cultural and historical monuments, national parks and nature parks. I am glad to be able to show you my little Paradise on earth. Join me. I'm sure you'll be fascinated by it.

A fun tour for families! Highly recommended

We are a family of travelling from Australia and did a 4 hour tour of Harajuku and Shibuya area with Dan. Dan is a great guide and was very thoughtful to ask about our children’s personalities and interests in advance so he could tailor our tour accordingly. We had a great time with Dan who was terrific with our kids and helped them learn some Japanese and introduced them to Japanese children’s games and treats. We really appreciated his knowledge and insights into Japan culture. I highly recommend Dan’s tour guide services! Thanks for a great tour Dan.

Fun night out

This was a fun tour but pretty pricy. Tim was an excellent guide very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the history of the different back alley ways. However the price quickly adds up as no food or beverages are included (we knew this and that we needed to pay for him as well). Tim orders for you so you don’t know the price until settling your bill. I would set a budget next time. It was our last night so we felt it was good fit.

Dear Laurel, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It was such a pleasure spending the evening with you and Liam. His curiosity about Japan and all the great questions he asked made the tour enjoyable for me as well. Regarding the cost, I wanted to clarify that it was a private tour, and the visits to the two izakaya pubs and the bar were entirely optional. Based on our conversation, we chose places that matched your preferences, and the prices were transparent from the start. We all agreed on the orders, and I hope the authentic, non-touristy spots we visited provided a unique and local experience. If price had been a concern, I would have been happy to adjust the itinerary, perhaps with a stop for a casual bowl of ramen instead. My goal was always for you both to have a great experience, and I felt that you and Liam were enjoying the evening, the food, and the interactions with the locals. I value your feedback and will strive to make my tours an excellent experience for all guests. I would love to know if there’s anything else I could have done to improve your experience. Thank you again for choosing the tour. Best regards, Tim

Great Tour!

I booked this for my parents who were visiting Tokyo. Nobu was responsive and told me everything I needed to know so I could relay the information to my parents. My parents said he was very knowledgeable about the sites they were at and enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in experiencing Mt Fuji!

Nobu S.

Thank you very much for your review. I am glad to know that your parents enjoyed my tour. There are several good places in this area, but not so easy to go around in the limited time. Now we, guides, can drive a car during the tour,so we can visit those spots much easier than before. Thank you again for booking me for your parents. Nobu
