A city is most beautiful in the evening and during the night. This tour is for those among you, who want to experience Budapest during the evening stopping at the most important sites in its history: its ancient Roman ruins, its medieval castle, Gellert Hill for the best view of modern Pest and at the end, the inner city of Pest.

Meeting Point

Ideally along the Grand Boulevard

07:00 PM

Grand Boulevard

Pick up is on the Grand Bvd. (Nagykörút) at approx. 19:00. You may chose from several pick-up possibilities, such as Corvin Square, Rakoczi Sq, Blaha Square or Nyugati Railway Station.

07:20 PM

Roman Military Amphitheatre

Our history goes all the way back to Rome and even beyond. We stop at one of the most impressive Roman ruins in Budapest and I will tell you all about how Rome expanded its borders as far as the Danube and how Aquincum became the predecessor of Budapest.

08:00 PM

Fishermen's Bastion

We stop beneath Buda castle (our only medieval fortification in the city) and take the neo-romanesque stairs up to the Mathias church and walk in the surrounding streets to get a better feeling of what medieval Buda might have looked like and what changes it has undergone during the centuries. This is an ideal spot to take pictures of the Parliament and Pest from above.

08:50 PM

Gellert Hill

Our next stop provides the best vantage point to overlook our beautiful capital city and especially the inner city of Pest (the modern center of Budapest). You will hear all about who Gellert was and how the citadel came to be built on the Hill and how Pest became the more important part of the city in the 19th century. On our way down, depending on our time, I may be able to show you a completely hidden gem.

09:30 PM

Deak Ferenc Square

Our last stop will be the inner city of Pest and specifically the Jewish Quarter, which is the bustling heart of Budapest and the place where nightlife happens. I will drop you off around Gozsdu Passage, which is the most unique street of this district.

Ending Point

In the Jewish Quarter (around Gozsdu Passage)

Excellent choice for a niche tour

Tiberiu was very knowledge of the town of Szentendre and made his knowledge accessible to our group. He was very precise with his route and made the best of our limited time. Before hand he was also very helpful and communicative. I sincerely recommend Tiberiu.

The 7 Flavors of Budapest

Budapest

I invite you to a unique culinary journey in the capital city of Hungary. We may not have a world-famous cuisine like the Italians or the French, but once you taste a Hungarian dish it will stay with you forever. This tour is designed for those with an interest in history and some city highlights coupled with some of the most unforgettable snacks and bites of Hungary: langos, chimney cake, fried sausage, csalamade (pickled vegetable salad), goulash, pogacsa (scones) and a shot of palinka/Unicum.

One day Trip to the Danube Bend from Budapest

Budapest
11 hours 30 min

If you have ever wanted to get out of the big city, because you've now seen Budapest enough times, this is the day trip for you: combining urban with natural landscapes in one of the most scenic areas of Hungary: the Danube Bend, that is, the place where the Danube twists and turns and takes a 90 degree direction southwards. This are has in recent years become popular not only for locals, but tourists as well. Nevertheless it's a must see, if you want to escape Budapest for a day.
