Ginza is a popular upscale shopping area of Tokyo, with numerous internationally renowned department stores, boutiques and restaurants.
We will walk through the backstreets of this area to explore many “Inari” shrines on the roadsides and on rooftops.
“Inari” is a popular Shinto deity among the locals and are said to offer wish fulfillment, peace and safety of family, business prosperity, luck in matchmaking, fire protection, etc. Expect the blessings from any of the shrines we visit.

This tour will offer an opportunity to learn about our culture, especially Shinto worshiping and its rituals.
Shinto shrine is a structure where one or more deities are enshrined. Inari, originally a rice deity, is typically enshrined inside the red orange-colored gate. Inari is a popular deity associated with rice, fox, household wellbeing, business prosperity, and general prosperity and its worship is very popular among the merchants and the locals in Ginza.
Ginza is also renowned for many modern architectures and we will find some of them while we explore the shrines. You will also have an opportunity to witness some historical aspects in the area.
This tour is designed for those visiting Tokyo for the first time and for those who have visited several times. I hope you will enjoy this tour.
The plan is to visit about ten shrines and here are the examples.
Asahi Inari Shrine: famous as a deity of business prosperity and peace and prosperity in the household.
Hodo Inari Shrine: child raising shrine said to offer healthy growth of children.
Kabuki Inari Shrine: people come here to pray for safety for kabuki performances and peace and tranquility for the audience, cast, and crew.
Kumagai Inari Shrine: is known as a deity of fire protection, good luck, and business prosperity.
Ginza is also renowned for many modern architectures and we will find some of them while we explore the shrines. You will also have an opportunity to witness some historical aspects in the area.

Shrines which we will visit are all small and we would not go through them. We will pray at the gate.
